Day 15 – The Missing Guardrail
Yaw was on the second floor of a building under construction.
He leaned slightly to adjust a wooden beam.
There was no guardrail.
No harness.
No one watching.
He lost balance and fell.
His spine was fractured.
Today, he’s in a wheelchair — not because of bad luck, but because someone removed the safety rails to “speed things up.”
Safety should never be sacrificed for convenience.
Guardrails. Harnesses. Barriers.
They aren’t decorations — they’re non-negotiables.
Every edge without protection is a question of when, not if, someone will fall.
If it’s high, guard it. If it’s dangerous, report it. If it’s missing, don’t work.
Shortcuts in safety always lead to long-term pain.
