Day 9 – 3-Minute Fire Escape
The fire broke out in the kitchen. Thick smoke crawled up the stairs.
Everyone panicked — except 10-year-old Esi.
She had practiced what to do during a fire drill at school just two weeks earlier.
She shouted, “Stay low! Crawl to the door!”
She opened windows, guided her little brother out, and met her parents at the assembly point.
It took 3 minutes.
And it saved four lives.
Fire spreads fast. In most cases, you have less than 5 minutes to escape safely. Panic wastes time. Practice builds confidence.
Fire drills aren’t just for schools or offices — they’re for homes too.
> Have a plan. Practice it. And make sure everyone knows it.
Because when fire strikes, your safety depends on what you already know.
