It slipped.
He fell.
His leg was shattered. Three surgeries later, Kojo still walks with a limp — a permanent reminder of one c…Read More11 Comments -

Day 3 – The Burned Lunch
It was just supposed to be a quick lunch.
Ama placed a sealed container of stew in the microwave and hit “start.” She walked off to grab her drink — just 30 seconds.
Then it happened.
A loud POP!
Smoke.
Sparks.
The container had exploded — plastic melted, stew everywhere, and the microwave caught fire.

Day 2 – A Second Too Late
Yaw was running late for class. As he dashed across the road, eyes locked on his phone screen, he didn’t see the taxi speeding around the corner.
He stepped off the curb.
The horn blared.
Brakes screeched.
Too late.
He woke up in the hospital with a fractured arm, dislocated shoulder, and a message from the dri…Read More8 Comments -

I’ll never forget the call.
