He didn’t want to wear it.
“It’s hot. It slows me down. I’ll be quick,” Kwaku said, tossing his helmet aside before climbing up to weld.
Seconds later, a metal bar fell from above.
Straight to where his head would have been.
Kwaku was lucky that day — he had just stepped aside. But that helmet he ignored?
It would’ve been the only thing between life and death.
