Day 3 – The Burned Lunch
It was just supposed to be a quick lunch.
Ama placed a sealed container of stew in the microwave and hit “start.” She walked off to grab her drink — just 30 seconds.
Then it happened.
A loud POP!
Smoke.
Sparks.
The container had exploded — plastic melted, stew everywhere, and the microwave caught fire.
Ama panicked. She didn’t know what to do, had no extinguisher nearby, and poured water on it.
Big mistake.
The small fire turned dangerous before help arrived.
Here’s the lesson:
Kitchen appliances aren’t toys. Always check the labels, remove airtight seals, and NEVER leave microwaves unattended.
Fire can start from the most common mistakes — even a simple lunch break.
Read. Watch. Think. Then heat.
