Refrigeration Technician

Position Summary:

Nestlé Ghana Limited is currently looking for a Refrigeration Technician to provide technical assistance such that production lines run in optimal conditions with minimum down time.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring optimal and continuous operation of cooling towers and chillers by performing routine monitoring and other related works towards chilled and cooling water generation and supply at the right pressure
• Ensuring optimal and continuous operation of the Nitrogen Generators by performing routine monitoring and other related works towards nitrogen generation and supply at the right pressure and purity
• Ensuring optimal and continuous operation of the compressed air system and potable water system by performing routine monitoring and other related works towards compressed air generation/supply and potable water supply at the right pressure and quality
• Executing general maintenance works on chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, air conditioners, compressed air system and various pumps through scheduled regular inspections, cleaning, parts replacement and all other tasks necessary to keep all components performing optimally; identification and repair or replacement of malfunctioning components
• Ensuring effective documentation of records of monitoring parameters, inspections, maintenance routines and repairs on chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, air conditioners, compressed air system, potable water system and various pumps
• Ensuring effective monitoring of WWTP in the afternoon and night shift and on the weekends (in the absence of the WWTP attendant)

What makes you Successful?

• Minimum two years working experience in the operation and maintenance of refrigeration systems.
• Refrigeration Technician (Part 3) Certificate or higher
• Professional and technical knowledge in refrigeration and air conditioning techniques
• Possession of the physical stamina and manual dexterity and strength to properly perform boiler operational and maintenance tasks
• Good working knowledge of pumps and their maintenance
• Good working knowledge of ammonia safety
• Very good oral and written communication skills in English
• Ability to diagnose faults and offer corrective measures
• Good technical reporting skills
• Computer literacy (good knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word etc.)
• Ability to work in a team
